Have just heard my first chiffchaff.  Four days later than last year but spring is on the way. :sunshine:

Lovely  :innocent:  .  I always hope some chiffchaffs will come to visit here in Scotland but not yet. (the icon is the closest I could get to birdsong)

Our daughter shouted excitedly for me to listen at the door this morning because she'd just heard the first chiff chaff of the year!

So, yes, they're arriving here in Mid Wales too, Possom.

I didn't here it today so it must have been on a quick stopover. Obviously on it's way north  :) .

Have just looked at the Woodland Trust's recording calendar and found that they had been heard in Devon and Dorset on 5th March. Must have been a bit chilly for them.

A beautiful spring day here and our first lark rose and sang his lovely song near us.
