Wiltshire Horn fleece loss
« on: June 11, 2019, 10:03:17 pm »
I am new to sheep keeping and decided to start with Wiltshire Horn as I thought that their self shedding may be a good idea. I have previously just taken hay from my fields and will continue to make some hay. However my fields now have a covering of wool and I am concerned that this will be incorporated in the hay and make it unsaleable. Anyone with experience of this or able to offer advise please.

i dont make hay but i put alot of old brush heads around the field on fance posts etc and they soon find where to scratch it off
all mine have more or less shead including the lambs i always see birds coming down and taking it away for nesting
