Another question: Would it be better to transport pregnant goats in a trailer, or in the back of our van? Which would cause them the least stress?

How near kidding?
I always transport goats in the van, but we have a side door (Berlingo van), it's a bit lower and easier for them. Maybe stack a couple of pallets, solid top, to ease access and exit?
Nice to keep an eye on them and its warmer for them as well.

Yes, maybe I'll try and make a ramp for them. They will be approx 3 months in kid.

Should be fine in the back of the van, but I would get them asap. Just so that they have time to settle in their new surroundings before kidding.

Also be aware they do tend to pee when you stop, so make sure you have something waterproof under the bedding (but not slippy for them)
