What is the special bedding??

Something called “Fresh Bed For Chickens”. Says it’s chopped straw with antibac and antifungal pine oil.

The ones we’re getting are ex commercial free range, but think they can still look pretty beat up? Hopefully will adapt okay. We can but see.

I use easibed for my hens. Take the poo out every day and use maybe a bale a month for 15 hens. Top up bedding weekly. Works really well. In the nest boxes I use a chopped wheat straw bedding, tried using this for the whole house but it didn't absorb well and was tricky to get rid of (my hens have a woodchip enclosure so I just chuck the easibed outside for them to scratch around in).
