Well done Pip ….. got there (or here!) in the end :)    bit further away from us than originally but welcome anyway

Thank you!  It was a heck of a bumpy and traumatic road to get here, but we managed it in the end.  The place we have ended up with is better than any we lost, so was obviously meant to be.

Are you a photographer too then?  I will see if I can come along if I’m not too shattered by the sorting!

Was, during my many different job occupations. Now just a hobby. I'm a member of Llandeilo Camera Club

https://www.dinefwrphotographicsociety.co.uk
but am doing a talk at Kidwelly about a couple of trips to Bangladesh that night

https://www.kidwellycameraclub.co.uk/about.html

For anyone in Carmarthenshire either club is welcoming of people who have an interest in Photography. The former is slightly unusual in that we don't have competitions.

It's quite a good way of socialising as the clubs are most active in the winter months.

That is great, thanks.  My local club here is very into competitions (I do The Guild of Photographers comps but have never been interested in camera club ones) and they meet 1900-2200 which is just far too long, especially with travel time - I just gave up on them because of those two things, so with Kidwelly meeting 1900-2100 and not having competitions that sounds really quite interesting.

Thanks!

Wow! You are close!  We are at SA17 5LL, so your side of Meinciau as well.  Are you on FB?  We ought to connect.

Congratulations! I know what you mean about not quite believing it - even after I'd moved in it didn't seem quite real that I actually had my own smallholding - I think it took about a year to sink in.

Thank you.  We won’t believe it is really happening until the lorry turns up, so goodness knows when we will stop pinching ourselves.

We stayed in the pub at Cwmduad when looking at another place.  Lovely spot, and so quiet with the A road closed!
Hmm, yes... a bit of a sore point there: I live on the back road that's a slight short-cut for the official diversion - as a consequence my nice quiet road has turned into a rat-run full of idiots who think that the way to take a blind corner on a single track road is to hoot your horn on the way in. Still, one day the council might actually re-open the A road - might even be this year...

Oh no!  That must be really infuriating.  Fingers crossed the council gets it sorted soon.
