saw some white wormy things in a some of the sheep poo in the field today. Certain they are not maggots - they were flatish, less than 1cm long and mainly on the surface - oh, creamy white in colour - any ideas?

you wormed your animals recently? if not when is the next time there due?

Funny that, I have picked up something that is exactly the same as you have described too. No idea how long it was on the ground for but about one or two days I suspect.
I have taken mine to the vet for a worm count and analysis. I also took a fresh poo from my tup with a runny bum for analysis.
The lady I recently brought him from said that he had been wormed on the morning he came to me, but this is at least two weeks after that.
I have been using Verm x to try and sort out his problem but he is still very loose. Poo more like a cow pat on the ground than the classic pellet poo the others produce.
Did she fib about the worming I wonder? Perhaps there is some immunity in her flock.
I will let you know what my investigations throw up.

Well all like a nice photo for clarification, and its great to see what everyone encounters, it builds all our knowledge.
Bring on the worms lets see them wriggle !!

If flatish and about 1cm x .5cm.....tapeworm segments
Most wormers do not do tapeworm!.....but it can be a problem
Lets have a pic!!! ;)
