Title: Planting in August in Scotland
Post by: xillent on August 05, 2018, 09:34:51 am
I now have a couple of empty beds as the onions have been lifted. Any ideas of what I can now plant. I'm in Glasgow but higher up at the edge of city. I can construct a wee polytunnel using pipes to help.

You could start sowing and planting out pak choi, chinese cabbage, spinach which will all do well with shorter days and lower temperatures. Lettuce, Florence fennel, which mature quickly. Best to lightly top up or fork in some well rotted compost to help them on the way.
