Title: hight extension for field gate

Hello,
I've got a few galvanized field gates that are a challenge but not a deterrent for my goats - is there a clever way to extend the hight? Or a way to fix an some electric wire to it?

Are they the ones with the plastic covers on the end verticals?  If so, then it's pretty easy to extend them. Otherwise, you can just bolt on some extension pieces and run some wire through them, or electric wire if you feel that necessary.

Hi folks,
thanks! Womble, yes, I guess at some stage in their life, there might have been plastics at the end (it's open tubing now). Was sondering if I could just stick some narrower tubes in there without making them too heavy. Would a blacksmith have that kind of thing?
And if weight was an issue, I do like valmet's idea - electric fence posts might indeed do the trick. Maybe with some tape to make it more visual....

Think sqare peg round hole. Knock a couple of pieces of square timber into the post tops. Then stretch whatever wire etc. across

Cable ties and alkathene pipe are your friends :)
