In this phot the bigger leaves are from an ash tree

It's the middle leaves and the tree is laden with new growth which is clumps of leaves that I am trying to identify

The new growth will be the fruit / seeds sometimes called ash keys. They will appear at the end of branches  between the leaves. They are green to start with but will turn brown later. Allegedly the keys can be pickled in a young stage.

I have an experimental jar in the cupboard. Ask me in a couple of months!
