Title: Savoy cabbage
Post by: suziequeue on August 16, 2010, 08:38:46 pm
My savoy cabbage is all leafy but doesn't seem to be producing a "ball" in the middle.

What have I done wrong?

I presume I can still use the leaves?

yes the leaves are just as tasty.   mine never make "proper" heads... but seeing as I chop then up a leaf at a time, it doesnt matter to me at all !! :)

Savoy cabbage is meant to be eaten in the depths of winter, so won't be ready yet anyway.  My winter cabbages are starting to twist in the middle but don't have a big heart yet.
