Title: Help wanted with Ferrari T93 Mini Tractor
Post by: Magwych on March 14, 2018, 04:19:01 pm
Hi,
I joined the forum a while ago, but have been too busy to make a proper introduction...

To help out with our lawns and paddocks I recety bought a tractor-mower and a mini-tractor. I got both at a very good price, having sorted the tractor mower tyey cos as much as a decent S/H tractor-mower alone.

My attention is now on the mini-tracor, it is a Ferrari T93, probably from the mid '80s. It has a single cyinder petrol engine, an OHV engine not the usual Briggs and Stratton bolt-on. I have no manuals and no information other than what the previous owner thought it did and what he thought was appropriate care. Having worked on the tractor-mower I am going to ignore everything he said and try to work things out instead :-) The engine was overfilled with oil and jets adjusted to run really rich...

The internet is not exactly ablze with information on  the mini-tractor, does anyone here have one, or know someone that does? It seemed a handy little machine, three-point lift, 2xPTO and a diff-lock, much as one might expect on a full-size one.

Basic information I am after is oil filter type and location, oil level check, basic carb settings and which position for the diff-lock lever is locked and whihc is unlocked?

Any help much appreciated...

they were  diesel engined

I suspect that yours may have been "retro fitted" with a petrol engine
