Title: Hello from Stogumber
Post by: Fosterandsue on January 13, 2018, 09:54:50 am
 :pig:
Hello all you lovely people out there. Sue and Paul are about to embark on a journey with pigs. The pen's nearly built and the ark is being floated in a week or two, fortunately we are in the Quantocks so no flooding here.
We will be looking to buy some wearers so if anybody not too far from Somerset has any GOS, Berkshire or Sandy's we would love to hear from you.
Happy small holding one and all

Stogumber! What a lovely place. I remember it from my childhood. Does it still have a little station with steam engines stopping at it?

There is a family farm near Williton that breeds OSBs. We have had some very good weaners from them. I will look up the address and then re-post.

Hi there, yes the steam train still stops at Stogumber during the warmer months. Thanks for the info and look forward to any ideas of their address. Best wishes.

We got our OSB weaners from Chris and Katie Sully at Aller Farm near Sampford Brett. They can be contacted at quantock@talktalk.net.

The weaners were all very friendly as they were used to human contact. However, when they are bigger they do do a lot of digging. Have you got plenty of land for them to roam around on and some good strong fencing?
