I had two small fruit trees moved last week and I wonder if they will survive the ten inches of snow we have. My local garden centre lady said it was fine to transplant them this late so long as it was before the heavy frosts so I'm hoping they will take root.

That's the best time for transplanting - when the plants are dormant.
I need to do some changes too, perhaps next week when the snow is gone.

That's cheered me up. Thanks.

Update - the two trees are doing well and the greengage is covered in blossom.
