Title: Even more on bacon making....

For other first timers.....
Managed to get the local butcher to slice my bacon gratis. He suggested next time (a great fellow) that  I should cut out all of the bones (I missed a couple) and that I should keep the pieces as large as possible as this ensures there are fewer 'nub-ends' which can't be sliced. Also chilling the bacon before slicing makes a cleaner cut....
