Title: Small and pink
Post by: Buttermilk on August 31, 2017, 06:41:26 pm
This is growing in one of my meadows and I do not have a clue what it is except small and pink.  Any ideas?

Looks like Maiden Pink  Dianthus deltoides.  What a beautiful little plant.  Does it have a scent like the garden version?

No, you're correct Yorkshire lass - centaury it is, because of the sticky up yellow bits in the middle of the flower (that's technical terminology  :roflanim:  )

I have an app on my phone called pl@ntnet to help you identify unusual plant. Just take a photo and upload it. It will give you a number of options
