Title: Easy care sheep wanted in Cornwall
Post by: BigBoyUK on July 07, 2010, 07:27:23 pm
Hi all,
I am looking to put about four sheep on my 2 acre paddock. Does anyone know of a supplier of easy care or similar sheep in Cornwall as I want to avoid shearing if possible.

A few years ago I got a Wiltshire ram from Jean Burke, she has a very high quality flock (Ventonglidder Farm, Ladock, Truro, Cornwall. TR2 4QE jeannieburke@btinternet.com 01726 882201/07769 706975 ) and is very active in the Wiltshire Horn society.  Have a look at the society website.

We are now keep Shetlands as they are smaller, but the Wiltshires produced a good meat lamb on minimal additional feed.

There is a notice up in Mays Country Store in Hewas Water for self shearing sheep (I can't remember the breed!). If you're not far I can grab the details for you! :)
Title: Easy care sheep available

I have up to twenty Easycare ewes available for sale, from now.
They are pure stock. My ewes are from Anglesea. The ram is from a separate pure easycare flock in the South East.
These are the lambs from ewes that lambed out without aid, and shed well.
Vaccinated and generally pretty healthy.
Email me if you are interested.
Best wishes,
Neil
