Title: Cow pats not pellet
Post by: angie on August 04, 2017, 06:56:32 pm
Hi one of my goatlings has started doing cowpats instead of pellets, second day now, gave her oak, ivy and blackberry leaves yesterday, no change today. Withdrew hard feed today, gave her more blackberry leaves. She has ablib hay, straw and access to browse which she is eating. She is cuddling, socializing with her mum and sister, passing urine and drinking. She acts and appears to be ok apart from the cowpats.

Any advice welcome

Angie

I would also suspect worms

Or cocci. My suggestion would be worm rather than wait if you can't get FEC turned round in 24 hours BT get FEC done and ask to check for cocci too.  I have had FEC results come back low for scouring goats and only then realised it was a cocci issue.
