Title: Sow Health - udders
Post by: aboud on August 02, 2017, 12:11:13 pm
We have a x breed female who is currently living with three castrated males.
Recently, her udder seems to be hanging lower and looks slightly misshapen / swollen towards the back.
Her vulva also looks more prominent then before.
Her behaviour doesn't seem to have changed at all, neither have her eating and drinking habits.
Is this something I should be worried about?
Thanks.

I forget how old you said these pigs were but she could a. be in season b. in pig. Have you checked your castrates are missing their testicles?

Hmm ..... I'd separate her asap as you may soon be hearing the patter of tiny trotters.....
