Title: Stanley blade ?
Post by: Penninehillbilly on May 26, 2017, 01:14:06 pm
Hi
I have a folding lockable knife, light and very useful, but need a new blade.
Not a standard Stanley, same size and shape but 4 holes for locking blade in.
Not in Screwfix or Toolstation catalogues, name tag has come off knife.
Any ideas where to get blades from Please?

 Thanks
Doganjo, it needs 4 holes, the little button retracts 2 'bolts' that lock in and grip the blade safely,
Olli,  looks possible but not sure it will hold firmly with one of the pair of holes being bigger. Worth trying if I can't find the proper ones.
Annoying thing is I can find pictures but if I click on them it just shows standard type :-(.

Its cheaper to buy the whole knife again in the long run - terrible throw away society we live in.

Or buy a good whitby and a grinding stone and some oil :)

Seen some about tenner + £5 p&p, will outlast the knife but presume we can use them in standard holders, just hope quality is up to some work :- ).
Now just have to find them again .
