give them a mist spray to help set the fruits - makes a big difference!

So did I!  I bought one for Aldi the other day - £1.99.  A pack of three peppers was £1.99 too.  There were three little green peppers on it when I bought it and theya re growing fast.  Loads more flowers too.

Annual plants? My vegetable knowledge is pretty much nil I'm afraid. I just know I have far too many chillies to sue and they're still growing!

they complete their life cycle in one year - germination to setting seeds then dying, thats it basically.

Most of my Pepperoncino I planted from seed have burnt in the oven that is my greenhouse this year, so I went to the Smallholders show at the weekend and bought 4 new types of chilli.  OH wanted a naga (supposedly the hottest chilli in the world) and I bought a Thai one for cooking.  The man selling them said that they would overwinter in a warm place like a conservatory (luckily I have one of those) and come back next year!  I have never been terribly successful with overwintering stuff in the greenhouse (I don't really go there in the winter) so I will give it a go.  Never knew they could grow for more than one year - never bothered as I thought they were all annuals!  Amazing to hear from loosey that it works!
