Help, I seem to have stopped getting notifcations on threads I've made or posted on, or private messages. I've checked my settings but can't see anything saying not to get them and there are no messages in spam. Anyone else had/having this problem? Anyone know how I can fix it? Thanks
Dans

Now that you mention it the same thing is happening to me. If anyone know how to fix this let us know.
-
Yep, same thing here. Missed a couple of messages, as I don't normally check unless I get an email notification.
-
Well at least it's not just me. I thought maybe the toddler had got hold of the phone and changed something I hadn't thought to look for. [member=1]Dan[/member] could this be an issue with a forum setting?

Sorry! Looking into this now, will hopefully be fixed soon.

This should be fixed now, apologies for the issue. :(
There are some emails queued from the last six days. If you haven't received replies for PMs sent in the week before then please resend them - it's likely the recipient didn't receive a notification email.
I've put measures in place to prevent this happening again.
Thanks,
Dan

I know this is a very old thread but I am not getting notifications from my posts - have clicked the notify me box - and would REALLY like too!
Timewarp perhaps?

??? Should I pm you?
Still not getting notifications, is there a setting other than under my post (before posting) that I should tick?

What settings do you have in your profile?
Profile => Notifications
Mine looks like this

:excited:That was it, thank you very much!
Never mind Dan, Sally sorted it.

Sadly, it has not helped. :(
Will just have to try remembering what I have posted, I guess.

Go to 'profile' tick 'modify profile' - below are three tick boxes, take your pick! I think that might be it. I didn't even know you could get notifications so have just altered my preferences. Hope this works.
Do you get emails to say if someone has mentioned you in a topic? because I have mentioned you in the moths topic just now.......
-
I did the tickie boxie thing a few weeks ago and it made no difference BUT I have just gotten an email for this post and the Moths one so something has changed.
:excited:My memory is rubbish so if the notifications have started, it saves me trying to remember to check in.

I'm now getting notifications but I unticked all the boxes :innocent: :roflanim: :roflanim:

I just got about 10 email notifications for every thread I had posted in recently - eh? That didn't happen before. I think there's now a gremlin in the system ::)

I have a theory..
I think notifications had stopped working (maybe only some of them.) Some of us went and fiddled with our settings. Now notifications have started working again, and the ones - or some of the ones - that hadn't arrived have now arrived.
I had an email notification for your last message to me, FW, and then, later, the notifications for the earlier ones all came. If you went and changed a setting recently, you may now be getting notifications from threads in which you post

Sally's theory is correct. When we 'upgraded' the forum software last week there was a knock-on effect that emails sent from the forum were not being sent.
I fixed that yesterday and a load of queued emails were finally sent - sorry for the flood!
All should be working as expected now, but please do report any problems either on here or to dan@tas.re
