Title: first lambing experience
Post by: Bramham Wiltshire Horns on March 09, 2017, 01:27:19 pm
lambed our second ewe yesterday but it was the first one that we was on hand for
found it a good experience
she just needed a little hand stretching the front legs out and once that happened the lamb came out out (first timer)
i might mention i have coloured ryelands and now 2 ram lambs
fingers crossed for some ewes

it was more special that my duaghter was there too

We are halfway through our first lambing season and it's been a baptism of fire  :o only had 9 ewes to lamb, just had 3 sets of twins in 24 hours. 1 other set of twins born last weekend became a single due to a deformed lamb and the first set of twins we had we very nearly lost mum. We have 4 ram lambs and 5 ewe lambs so far :)
