Title: Pyracantha (firethorn) - goat food or poison???

As above, is pyracantha spp. Edible or poisonous to goats???

Poisonous, iirc, but am not a goat keeper!

Mine have the odd leaf as they walk past (as I run to get them moving past!): My vet said the berries could be harmful eaten in quantity. Think it was nervous system they effected in some way but may be wrong.

So not a food plant, but not an emergency vet job if they've had a wee bit either.

I hate working with that plant! The thorns are terrible!
I want to remove it completely at the back where animals will have more frequent access. Will leave the one in the front hedge for now.
