Hi there, quick question. Are cut Christmas trees toxic to pigs and/or sheep?
I'd love to throw ours into their pen when it comes down next week as I think they might like it to scratch on and nibble. If it's toxic, I'll keep it well away.

Pigs are omnivores, like us. Would you like Christmas tree for dinner? If young pigs and they do tuck in beware the woody material may impact in their guts, with possibly fatal consequences.

Thanks Marches Farmer.

Hello, I have a fenced off christmas tree in the pigs area, and yes they did get to it. I now have a 6ft christmas tree with no bottom branches just a little top. The pigs are fine as this happened a fews months back. I am a bit miffed about my tree though.
