Title: Heading for my half century birthday on Sunday ......

I cannot believe I will be 50. There again, I recall saying the same when I was forty!!!
The only good thing is, people say I don't look my age (probably because I am small and slim, thank goodness!) and I have a young voice too I am told.
Only a few grey hairs among my red hair - another good thing. All my family are redheads, and an uncle died in his eighties with not a grey hair in sight.
So there are a few blessings to be grateful for!!
Have definitely slowed up though - used to be really agile, and do gymnastics. I don't think I will attempt any of those moves though, far too creaky!!!

Roxy it's just a number, since I hit 40 2 years ago everything went way downhill let me tell you. Have a great day on Sunday. Anyway do they not say 50 is the new 40? :bouquet:

Hey, what are you two worried about - I am chuffed, in the last few days I've been told three times that I don't look my age - I'm 66!!!!! I reckon it's my round fat face that keeps me young ;) ;D ;D ;D

Oh thank you, Daisy .....no .....not far off the same age as you, am I? My mum was telling me, my sister in law tried to send me a card last year with 50 on, until my Mum stopped her!! There again, the same lady sent my Mum a massive bunch of flowers, posh teddy, and lovely 8oth birthday card. Mum was pleased with the gifts .....but miffed because she was actually not 80 .....just 79!!!

I found we all can talk as an Olympic sport and can converse with anyone!! I am a Gemmini and I often suprise my self as I do a lot of unexpected things and always seem to see the funny side!!!!

Sandy, I love to talk!! I will talk to absolutely anyone I meet, and can chat about a very wide range of subjects. I have a wicked sense of humour, and in my time have pulled some brilliant pranks on people :)

Well I hit the big 50 in January and since then its been one big party - having a great time travelling around to meet all my friends - been away on holidays five times this year already - SO LIFE BEGINS AT 50!!

Hey up H and Roxy Don't believe the fibbing swines.It's a malicious rumour put about by them as think you are to old for them.Amusing story should be in the joke bit no doubt A retired 55 yr old farmer sold the farm and moved to Florida.Where he built a magnificent Ranch House with a great garden and behind a screen hedge a pool.Of course as time passed by it became to much bother to go down the pool every day and so when the water got cloudy he used to go down with a bucket of chlorine now and then to clean it up.This particular day he heard a lot of squealing and shouting from behind the screen so he gets the bucket and ventures forth to investigate.There in the pool was half a dozen nubile young ladies skinny dipping.One spots him and shrieks "You dirty old man you can clear off were not getting out while you are stood there watching.You are not seeing us with out our clothes on.You pervert you" The old man replied"Oh I wasn't really watching you girls I was amazed at the noise I have just come down to feed my alligators.
