Title: My new silkie rooster
Post by: BrimwoodFarm on November 28, 2016, 05:17:22 pm
Thought I'd just introduce you to my new silkie rooster.

I was making a YouTube video a couple of weeks ago about selling chickens and mentioned that silkies sell well around me. Suddenly wondered 'why am I not breeding them?' So here he is. In quarantine now and then onto meet his ladies.

I'm a little bit in love with him....though he's crowing A LOT as he settles in. Poor neighbours.  :roflanim:

I have a video of him, and the pic below. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j43ModM8jW0 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j43ModM8jW0)

Thanks, I'm really pleased. Best thing...he was free! One of those hatch-chicks-at-school projects and the people who hired out the incy were going to cull all the chicks so one of the mother's rescued them and rehomed.
