Title: Worming/flushing before tupping
Post by: Bramham Wiltshire Horns on August 24, 2016, 11:28:16 pm
Hi all

When should I worm before putting tup in with my ewes and how long after worming should I move to fresh pasture
Thanks

Unless, your ewes need wormed as indicated by a FEC, there's no need to worm routinely in the autumn. The only routine worming adult sheep need is at lambing when the stress of pregnancy tends to lead to a flush of worms that contaminate pasture for the future lambs. I'd dose for fluke though.
