Title: Another poo question!!
Post by: maddy on July 15, 2016, 07:45:41 am
I had twins born successfully last week to my first timer, who is looking after them very well.  They are growing, and bouncing around happily.  However they had their first few days with the sticky yellow poo as usual but now it seems to be a clear, jelly substance with slightly runny yellow poo as well.  Is this normal.  I have never noticed it before in my others?

Should be firm, but probably not pellet-like yet. The dam's milk can however be very rich early on... If they are otherwise fine and bouncy, have full belllies and drive their mum to distraction - I would watch for a few more days and maybe restrict grazing (if they already go outside?).

Dam should have her post-kidding wormer as well. Milk safe for goat k ids.
