Title: Sheep in a pig weigh crate?
Post by: Dans on June 13, 2016, 04:54:47 pm
Hi

Someone near-ish me is selling a new pig weigh crate at what looks like a really good price (£300).

Can I use it for horned sheep (castlemilk moorits)?

Also it's on a fb selling page. Do you have any tips on how to make sure it is all legit?

Pig crates are wider, so more room for the sheep to turn around.  Have a look, and think about whether they'll manage to get their horns caught - and how you'll free them if they do.

Thanks. Think I will keep am eye out for a sheep one then. We are thinking about pigs but not for a while and my sheep are only little so even more room to turn around! Plus it's nearly a 2 hour drive from me so will take us the best part of a day to go look at it.
