Having planned for my 10 ewes to lamb in April, the first gave birth on 30th March; no.9 on 22nd April, and no. 10 finally gave birth at 7.30pm today to a single girl - unless she's still hanging on to one. I've spent the last month trying to decide if she really was pregnant or just a 'phantom' pregnancy - I was sorely tempted to send her and her companion out into the big field with the other ewes and their lambs but it looks like I made the right decision and kept them close :relief: .
Final result: 6 boys, 9 girls.
I can have a lie in tomorrow.
