Hi to all on the forum,
I have been following discussions on the site for sometime and have now registered to allow me to ask my first question, soon to be posted.
My wife and I are retiring this year (early retirement :excited:) and plan to buy a small holding in partnership with our son, his wife and our, soon to be one year old, granddaughter.
We are looking forward to exciting times.

Congratulations!
We share our smallholding (12 acres plus bits of rented) with my parents-in-law and it works very well. TBH we would have struggled to do half of what we have done without them. Theyhave their cottage next to us; it was built in 2011 and is disabled accessible so that when they aren't so able, we can keep an eye on them but they'll be independent as long as possible.

Thank you for your messages, in reply to Henchard, we are looking in the Shropshire/Herefordshire area as my son will have to commute to the south Birmingham area.
