Title: Pampass Grass

Does anyone know if i can plant pampas grass into a continer and leave it in there or will i have to re-plant it into the ground? im most concerned about it becoming too top heavy for the container and it not getting enough room for its roots to spread! Thanks  :)

you could alway try  a bottomless pot dug in to the ground
but be    warned that once the wind get the seads all your neighbour will get them too.

i had thought about a bottemless container but i wanted to put the plant into a cat enclosure for some cover and something to play with sniff etc and the enclosure is a concrete base with bark chippings over the top (licensing laws etc!), weve gone for other plants now like the nice big ones in pots my OH's mum had in her garden lol and some other grasses and bamboos, they blend in quite nicley with the chunky wooden logs we built a climbing frame type thing out of! and the cats seem very happy!  ;D

thats good you'll have to post some picture of the enclosure for us all to see.
