No, that's just the buffalo.
To bring this thread back to something helpful then, what do the acronyms stand for, and what does the process involve? I'm guessing it's nothing to do with the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Decentralisation (http://aipd.or.id/)?

A.I. = Artificial insemination, passing semen into the uterus via a long straw passed through the cervix.
P.D. = Pregnancy diagnosis, where an arm is passed into the rectum and the uterus and ovaries felt for swelling and structures consistent with pregnancy, +/- ultrasound scanned for same.

I mean't AI'd not PD'd don't know where that came from, guess i'm worrying that they may not get in calf. :'(

And most of us realised that!

The success rate last time was 3 out of 5, just hoping at least 3 out of 4 get in calf (if not all 4). :) PD is booked for 4 weeks time, so we should be able to tell by then.

Good luck WBF keep us posted

Just wondered as a matter of interest - if you have 61 water buffaloes and a conception rate of only 60% from AI, why you don't keep a bull?
-
We did but he died a couple of weeks ago :'( This is the reason for running the AI programme on the ones he didn't get in calf. We have 2 young bulls which won't be ready until the end of next year, they where born to AI from 2 top Italian bulls, so hopefully their calves (when they start working) will be top quality :)
