Title: Tanzania School Build
Post by: Backinwellies on January 29, 2016, 07:57:25 am
Hi All

An update .... we are now signed up to go on 13th August for 3 weeks (still looking for others to join us. )
... please PM for details ...

We have farm cover for one of the 3 weeks here but are confident others will come forward. (want a busman's holiday anyone?)

We need to raise £3000 for the building materials ... and have £500 so far.
We are planning a sponsored cycle from Nazereth to Bethleham  (in wet VERY hilly Wales that is!) later this spring) and a friend is cooking a fundraising dinner for us this weekend . I have also set up a Virgin Giving page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TeamTame (http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TeamTame)  so hopefully we will reach the target and be able to complete the first stage of this school build this summer.

The local people have already got together to start this school and have laid the foundations .

I am in the process of setting up a Facebook Page specifically for this but updates can be found on my page  Linda Tame or the farm page'  Nantygroes'

Exciting times  :excited:

Good luck with the fund raising. I am working on some small school type sweaters I offered previously, which I will send to you when they are finished. I will definitely make a contribution to your fund.

Wish I could (though not sure its the donkey that is supposed to be pregnant!) ... would be much easier!

 and thank you to Louise  and others who have supported us.  After a fundraising coffee morn and eve meal last weekend we are now about a third of the way towards the target  :)   .

I must get some training in on bike but  :raining: !!!
