Title: Lemon curd
Post by: Ghdp on December 13, 2015, 07:52:27 pm
There is only the two of us here with 5 laying hens. 35 eggs is a lot to get through! We share them with our immediate neighbours and we dont bake cakes very often. The excess of eggs has driven us to making Lemon curd as christmas gifts - but how long does it keep for in a sterilised kilner jar? Does it have to be kept in the fridge even before it is opened as the BBC recipe suggests?
Any other recipes welcome. ( we have made advocaat!!)

Mine lasts longer unopened and even opened kept in fridge. I put it in lemon drizzle cakes. I am making it as part of home made presents along with bramble jelly, some of our honey and mini Christmas cakes.
