Considering whether or not to go to Peebles Show - understand it is holding a progeny show this year for Blue -faced Leicesters - has anyone been in recent years?

Great show
Huge numbers of sheep (over 1200) - Champion North Country Cheviot Res. Texel
Minority breeds: Shetlands (good numbers with some good tups), Zwartbles (only two flocks one of which was leggy and narrow).
Some cattle, plenty of donkeys, alpacas and camels plus poultry and rabbits (and horses - now that's where the money in the Borders goes)

Zwartbles

you guys have all the best shows. Here in Wales there's not a huge choice of good shows, only dog shows am afraid ::)

Royal Welsh? (http://www.rwas.wales/royal-welsh-show/)
Spring Festival? (http://www.rwas.wales/spring-festival/)
and of course Denbigh & Flint later this week where you can see:
Welsh Mountain, Black Welsh Mountain, Cheviot (south), Jacob, Zwartble, Suffolk, Shetland, Border Leics, Bluefaced Leics, Lleyn, Texel, Beltex, Charollais, Shropshire, Kerry Hill, Badger Face, Greyfaced Dartmoor plus classes for other Lowland (bound to be some Ryelands), Hill (Radnor) and Primitive breeds. And Halfbreds. Now that's not a bad selection.
For cattle Welsh Black, Hereford (traditional), Shorthorn plus four continentals and may be in dairy Holstein, Dairy Shorthorn, Jersey, Ayrshire and perhaps Brown Swiss
