For sale: 162 bales of excellent quality 2019 hay from old pasture, has never being treated with any chemicals, and is weed free.
I would sell all in one lot or in two half lots . Buyer to collect, ( I would help load)
£3 per bale - its on site, stacked and in a barn near Whitby - North Yorkshire.

Oh Smiffy, why are you so far away from me ??? That's just what I need, the whole lot. I couldn't get transport for that distance though, so I'll need to look closer to home. I'm sure it will be snapped up :)

Jusy my luck lol, a lady after my hay and too far away, its really good stuff too. Hope it does get snapped up, I was told to charge a bit more, but I would rather sell and be happy with £3

I entered the hay in our village show, EGTON SHOW, and was over the moon to come third out of, think It was 14 entries. :thumbsup:
soo its now prize winning hay :excited: ..... but still not sold :(

Not to sound harsh but their is alot of hay about this year in Yorkshire (at least in the vale of york and down towards leeds - alot was got well in late june so people stocked up and alot of people will get a second cut too) - I just paid £1.50 for medium quality for my sheep and £2.30 for top grade stuff, all from near pocklington - and got some £2 nearly top quality but just abit variable a couple of weeks back. 4ft Rounds were going for £15, which is equiv of £1.20 a small bale too.
To get £3 you will need to hold on to it into winter and hope its a hard winter so people will pay those prices.
Otherwise maybe ring round horse places, as they will be more desperate for small bales as many farmers and smallholders can manage the big bales so choose them.

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking horse people may be the best option, and your right about that the hay maybe scarce come winter.
its sheeted up, so its eating no meat at the moment ;)
