Now that we have finally purchase some land (9 acres) and a steading for a house build plus smallholding near Ceres, Fife :) we are looking for a mini digger and tractor? Price range is around £3-5K each. Any ideas where to try I've looked through autotrader etc but as many come from traders they have a 'trader's markup' >:(
We are looking at 'old style' mechanical tractor ie. fordson major, Dextor, Massey 290/390 etc with loader and purchase a topper although we will probably need to buy that seperate.

Not exactly sure about diggers but congrats on you purchase from Kinross - I guess eBay or gum tree but watch out for scammers another option is pentland livestock who does bi monthly ish sales of agricultural equipment or probably best the plant sales morris Leslie at errol worth giving pentland or morris Leslie a ring they may know of something suitable

There is a agricultural machinery sale on Thursday at Lanark mart.
I am sure this happens quite regular as a friend of mine used to buy lots of equipment from there!

What about a tractor and a 3 point linkage back actor?
could save you some money or free up a bit for a better tractor.
