Breeze calved this morning - a beautiful bull calf, marked very like his dam. When I went out at 6.30am, he was dry and sooked, so I did his navel, took a few photos and left them to it. It's her fourth calf - she knows what she's doing.
I actually sold Breeze yesterday (with calf at foot) to the breeder in Yorkshire who bought her two daughters (Bonnie (2013) and Sunny (2014)). I'm glad they'll be going as a group. I hope the new owner wants the bull calf registered as he really is bonny and both his sire and dam were / are good examples of the breed.
If he does, I'll need a suitable name for the calf beginning with V. We already have Valiant (bull) and Victory 56 (heifer).
I will post some photos when I get my phone to download them :innocent: but if you can't wait, there are some on our Facebook page.
