Title: driving tractor

hi i am 17 and can i legally drive a tractor on my own on a provisional licence thanks

I've been driving tractors and a Landie illegally since l was 14, you could do this 50 odd years ago. Nowadays I would advise contacting the DVLA, they will give you the rights and wrongs of it :)

Off road, you can drive a tractor from 13.  At 17, you can drive on road as long as you have a standadrd provisional and display L plates.

This is not relevant to you as you are 17, but you can get a provisional to drive a tractor at 16, but this only allows you to drive on the road with L plates on the way to or from a tractor test, which you can also take at 16 which would then allow you to drive on the road.

As tractors are only designed for one you drive alone from the start. To drive alone in a field it used to be aged 13 and on the road with L plates it is/was 16. You can take your tractor test at 16.  Check for up to date regs with the DVLA website,
