Title: ewe with bloat
Post by: kanisha on April 20, 2015, 07:03:10 pm
Hi, got  a ewe started with bloat on Sunday ( got into the garden!!)  still very uncomfortable, hard breathing but bright and alert vet came this morning and gave painkiller and vit c ( shes already had oil + bicarb / solution for rumen+ vit B )

She is very happy to eat hand picked grass but won't touch hay, is it better to leave her without or allow her to eat the grass?

Might she eat straw?  Dry is better, if she will...
