Title: Weaners for sale?
Post by: bridget on April 04, 2015, 10:34:30 pm
Any one got any Berkshire or OSB ( for example but others would do) weaners for sale.   We can collect any where North of Perth.  Thanks

Hi
You could try Gary Imlach, I think he may have some wearers available. He is right up in Caithness, but he can sometimes deliver or arrange delivery. He has GOS crosses. He is delivering some weaners to me this week, I am in Moray. His number is 01847 894195

Hope this helps, Henry.

Have a look on preloved, we got a couple of very nice saddle backs a couple of weeks ago from near Fraserburgh, and there were a bunch left.  Nice long long pigs, should make good bacon.

We were originally looking for Tamworths but couldn't find any up on NE Scotland.

Thanks Henry.  We are not going to get from him this year as none available just yet and we need them to be away by early Septemer so we will talk to him earlier next year.  Delivery is quite high so if you get on with his pigs we could  perhaps combine next year

Hi Bridget

We could definitely consider that next year, I've had my GOS/Duroc x Berkshires from Gary  for three weeks and they are great, looking good and growing well. There is a place called Torrans Farm at Ballindalloch (near Grantown on Spey) that breeds OSB's. They didn't have any weaners when I called a month or so ago, but they may do now. if you google OSB Torrans Farm you will find their website.
cheers, Henry.
