Title: Hello from a new person with no idea how to start
Post by: grovesy on March 17, 2015, 06:45:26 pm
Hello!

I'm from West Yorkshire and live in a busy town.  I work in IT, I have no land, I don't live on a farm, but one of my 2 border collies I am extremely proud to say is partially trained and herds the local farmers sheep when we can.  I am considering renting land for a small number of sheep, am I going mad?  ???

Regards,
John

John, it sounds like you are on the slippery slope to me, just where we all began. Good luck with it.

Hi John and welcome.  I don't think you're mad at all, in fact I think heading towards involvement with food production in any shape or form has to be one of the sanest things anyone can do  :sheep: :farmer:.

As Bionic says, it's a slippery slope.  Next step is an allotment  :garden:.
