We have just 4 acres and are starting to look into poultry keeping and pigs purely for our own benefits.
Haven't a clue where to start though so will be making the most from this forum over the next wee while. :)
This year is my first year at attempting any type of veg and I'm finding that I'm an extremely impatient gardener ;D I'm also trying to grow as many types of plants that can withstand coastal areas and the severe winds we get up here.

Hi, and welcome to the TAS forums
You'll soon be as hooked as the rest of us!

Welcome from us here at the mad pig farm in Normandy. Just on the move to another property and have moved the first 38 pigs so far - only another 60 odd to go!
You will find heaps of good information on here about everything you would want to know about keeping animals and growing your own veg etc.
Good luck and happy postings!

Hello from over the firth in Orkney.
Good luck with the veg. Even in mid-June I've just watched a row of lettuce give up the ghost in yesterday's force 5. A polytunnel (with extra-thick bars!) is the only answer, it seems.
All the best,
Malc
