Hi everyone, we are currently looking for a smallholding, croft, or a house with land available to rent. Ideally the house would need to be 4 bedrooms or more, but we could maybe cope with three if it was a decent size. Preferably 10 acres or more, but again could cope with slightly less. In Morayshire area, North East Scotland. We are in process of applying to different estates, but any advice or leads on properties would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you checked out The Lade, Cromdale, PH26 3PH. 4/5 bedrooms and 32 acres.

Thanks! But they require membership to even be on the list. Cant justify it while saving for equipment etc. We're currently waiting to hear back from an estate. Fingers crossed!! :fc: :fc:

Still very much on the lookout! Estate lead fell through as the property has been sold to house workers building a new wind farm. :( Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

One about to be advertised in Perthshire if that's any help!

Do you know any details about it? I'd have to talk to my dad, and give him as much info as poss. He'll still be working so travel must be feasible. Thanks for letting me know!

Farmer has retired & rented out most of the farm locally. He has refurbished the 3 bed 2 bathroom farmhouse to a good spec & is now looking to rent this out. Also available is well drained undulating field guess 25 acres bounded by quiet lane & forestry. Several large sheds, one easily loose housed 35 charolais plus calves, other 2 maybe 12 each, plus various other log stores etc. About 10minutes from Crieff PH7, 25min to Perth or Stirling.
It will be through Baird Lumsden, Bridge of allan, but just checked & not online yet.

Thanks very much for the info! It sounds perfect apart from the distance. I think it may be too much of a commute for my dad. But will show him and see what he thinks. :)

Hey Farmvet, you've now got MY interest! We're in the vicinity - are you able to say which farm it is? Could you PM me?

Glasscorrie. map ref NN807 203 The land is the obvious chunk on the north side of the lane around the steading. It could also be ideal for horses with miles of great off road hacking from the door

We're still looking. Anywhere in Morayshire, Huntly area too. Has to be within an hour driving time of Elgin.

Have you tried Aberdeen and Northern Marts estates section? They might be able to help.

Sounds great. Will ask straight away, would you be open to pets? It's a real sticking point for a lot of people. We have dogs, and cats. Well trained and well behaved dogs, and cats are fab mousers. But really struggling to find anyone open to dogs.

Still looking, it's a bit more urgent now as mums health isn't so good and we really need to get settled so i'm there to care for her. Any leads, suggestions etc welcome.

i have no idea whether this may be of any help but was driving home yesterday and there was a notice in a window of a house in quite a remote place saying for rent and to contact dunecht estate

Have you tried the local estates.
For example: http://www.morayestates.co.uk/property-let/homes-let/ (http://www.morayestates.co.uk/property-let/homes-let/)
Others include Knockando, Altyre, Logie, Arndilly - not sure if any of these have property available, but it may be worth a try.
Hope you find somewhere.

Is that for rent or to buy? Where is it please?

South lanarkshire. For sale. Almost 20 acres, lots of outbuildings, great views, commutable to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Hello there,
I have 22 acres with planning permission for a house coming onto the market shortly. The land is between Fyvie and Cuminestown. Might be of interest.
