We've just got our first sheep and are trying to get hold of some reasonably priced sheep hurdles in West Yorkshire - does anyone have any available please or know where I could get some. Have rung round the farm supplies places locally and no luck. Just need enough for a couple of small Shetland-sized pens. Thanks.

Depends if you want wooden hurdles or galvanised, there are plenty for sale.

I've just been comparing prices on timber against ready made wooden ones and from what I can see I'd be better off buying some from this place than making some!

It's based in Halifax and the prices look reasonable for the quality.
Unless you want to invest in metal ones then these look good, they deliver too if you can't pick them up.

Those are a sight cheaper than M.V. metal ones!! They are £14 for 6ft. ones

whos M V, mole valley?

Think so

Yes, Mole Valley. And their hurdles are on offer.

Just a tip when your buying metal galvanised hurdles, make sure their galvanised after they've been welded up.
Some are made from very thin tubing welded up after they have been dipped and the welds are sprayed silver, they look great but go rusty quick.
It's the same as everything you get what you pay for
