Anyone have any ideas what i could use roughly 1/4 of an acre square piece of land for? Id love to have an animal on it but I don't want birds as I'm afraid to say I have a bird phobia and not sure if there is anything else that could live somewhere small like this! I have attached a photo, would love to know if anyone has any ideas!

pigs?
-
goats if you dont mind buying additional feed :-)
-
It looks too small for most animals. How about rabbits for meat? :bunny:
-
Piggies followed by a rotovator and vegetables next year
-
Apriary?
-
What about an alpaca for two?
-
Or a waterbuffalo (or a Yak?)
-
A waterbuffalo and a yak need at least half a field.
-
Pretty bantams :chook: :chook: to help you overcome your phobia - they really are very sweet and the eggs are delicious.
-
are you sure its quarter acre? seems quite small.
-
Cabbages ;D
(or as has already been said, pigs followed by cabbages!)

Obviously it's hard to tell from a single picture and the nature of the lens can distort distance, but that looks a lot less than 0.25 acre (by a factor of about 5 at a guess).
If it was 0.25 acre then pigs at the most if you don't mind it decimating. If it's what's shown in the picture it's similar to an allotment so "fur and feathers" small poultry - chickens and ducks but that's out because of your fobia. Never done rabbits (intentionally) but they would presumably be okay.
How about a dog? Not to eat obviously.

whAt about making a huge garden for herbs, flowers and beg and keep bees?
-
Just seen this and I would suggest bees with a lot of bee plants, thyme, sedum? Ask on a bee forum, it could be beautiful as well as productive.
-
A small dog, its just about big enough to let it out for a s**t and not to far for you to collect it ;)
-
Yup pigs. Get a couple of weeners and take them to a friendly abbatoir if you have one in a reasonable distance at 6 months. Will keep you and your friends happy for a full year.
-
Two Soay sheep, they will keep it cut and they'll also go great in the freezer oven/stew pot at the onset of winter.
They need little maintenance as well which really does help .

You could use it for a fruit garden? :)

Depends which direction t faces.. but those walls look perfect for figs, grapes, kiwi....
