Title: Who do you use for posting your skins?
Post by: Bionic on October 22, 2014, 09:20:31 am
I think I saw something on here a while back but can't find it now.
My skins should be ready for posting in the next week but looking up the details on Parcel Force it says they don't take skins. Who does everyone else use?

It all depends on what words you use to describe the contents ;).

i call them sheep skin rugs.  Well they are, they just need tanning!!  Never had a problem sending them with royal mail, very expensive but never had a problem.

Trish, I take it that you don't put the warning signs all over them?

I was told that you had to place "warning, contaminated animal waste" on the package.

In theory yes, but then who is going to want to pick up that parcel then? :S

Never put any warning signs on them!  Just always said they are sheepskin rugs.  Once the lady in the postoffice asked if they were being sent for tanning (she obviously realised by the weight of them that they were raw material) I said yes, and she asked if i had any tanned skins for sale!!  Sold her 2 the following week!!  Bonus!!
