Title: SRUC Kirkton & Auchtertyre Farm Public Open Day
Post by: Isra on October 17, 2014, 02:03:38 pm
This might well be of interest - the SRUC are having an open day on the 26th October up at their Kirkton & Auchtertyre base. There's a chance to see some of their new technology, hear about the history of farming, tour their wigwam site (good for anyone thinking of diversifying) ... lots more, too. A good day for families, with a treasure hunt to take part in, and sheep dogs in action.

Here's a link to their leaflet:

I've been to one of these years and years ago, it was pretty good. The Auchtertyre farm manager knows his stuff really well, and he's a nice bloke too.
