Well Bluebell, my GOS, was due to farrow around 8th December......I'm still waiting.
She's quite restless today, and bagging up.......So hopefully not too much longer to wait for the patter of tiny trotters  :pig:
-
Waiting around is always the worst part eh? I hope she goes soon and all goes well.
-
And pictures please ....
-
Waiting to hear.... !!
-
Give her a curry, a beer and take her for a drive over the fields - worked a treat for me ;)
But seriously, I hope it all goes well and look forward to seeing your photos ;D
-
Fingers crossed it happens soon. Its so hard when you are waiting ....I am waiting for my two goats to kid.
-
Thank you everyone. I'm so excited....The waiting is killing me! A bit like when I was little at Christmas time.....But even better :)
Bluebell had a restless night...and not just because I was checking her every hour! lol......But no piglets yet.
I've got the camera ready.
Maybe today is the day?!?!?
-
Have you checked to see if her milk is through yet? It's usually12 hours after that!!
-
Dont forget to put film in the camera if its not digital, and check the batteries are fully charged!!!!!!!!!
-
Digital camera at the ready......Thanks for reminding me about the batteries Hilarysmum, put new ones in just in case.
A few drops of milk, but not lots of it. So a bit more time to go then.
It's a nice change to have some sunshine here today. All the pigs are outside enjoying it.....it's very welcome after all the rain we've had. Hopefully the sun will help dry out some of this mud.
I'm off to join them.....Continuing the piglet watch  :pig:

9 little piggies!!!!!!!!!
Bluebell finished farrowing around 2 this morning. What a lovely Mum she is.
Pictures to follow later today.
 :pig:

Congratulations!
I love baby piglets!!

That's brilliant news, well done.

Lovely news on a freezing but sunny day
-
Congrats to you and Bluebell !
-
Thank you everyone :)
Bluebell and the piglets are doing very well. The piglets even ventured out into the sunshine briefly yesterday.
I'll try and post a couple of pictures.

Lovely piglets
-
aww, lovely spotty piggies!
-
It seems that I am spending a lot of time at the moment just watching them. :)
-
It is a wonderful litter - Our last GOS babies are now 8 weeks old and are
still very watchable - its a full time job, they are always up to something
and are so cute
Hope you all have a very merry christmas - you will soon be handfeeding them
lettuce leaves and stuff - great fun. Ours love to play football.
Well done Julie from Julie x
-
They're gorgeous Julie ;D
Congratulations
-
Thank you Julie and Karen......They are so adorable, all snuggled up together while Mum is having breakfast right now. :)
-
OK....so I have a new camera and feeling like a new Mum showing off her babies!!!
The piglets were out in the sunshine earlier. :pig:
-
Congratulations! they are lovely ;D why arent they swimming in mud? mine are!! ;)
-
I was going to say the same Dixie. Firm ground AND grass....Not fair!
-
The pictures seem to be very deceiving. Most of the pigs are swimming in mud. I've put down 'walkways' of shuttering ply over the mud for me to get into the pens to keep the straw fresh in the arks. A layer of straw over the top stops them getting too slippery for the pigs. An added bonus, in the farrowing area, is that the piglets can walk about without having to put their wellies and armbands on :) :) :)

Beautiful babies - well done Bluebell :pig: :pig: :pig:
